As President and Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Lo leads all operations for Kanetix Ltd. His prior roles at Kanetix included Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Information Officer. Andrew comes from a background of success leading the development of financial services technology in North America. Andrew co-founded GUI Software Systems in the early 90s building leading edge productivity software for the North American real estate industry. Market leadership early on led to pursuing a vision to build an end to end network to support a fully electronic real estate transaction from purchase to financing. Industry recognition and acclaim resulted in acquisition by Filogix Inc. At Filogix, Andrew led the team that built the SaaS based technology platform that processes $85 billion in mortgages accounting for over 40 per cent of Canada's total volume. In 2006, Filogix was acquired by D+H where, in addition to being the technology leader, Andrew led the corporate development team that completed several merger and acquisition deals transforming D+H into a leading provider of FinTech in North America.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Umair Suria leads all finance functions for Kanetix Ltd. Prior to joining Kanetix in July 2012, Umair was a Senior Financial Analyst for Direct Energy. At Direct Energy, Umair worked on several $100 million plus merger & acquisition deals and consulted to all lines of business in North America on technical accounting matters. Before joining Direct Energy, Umair was a Senior Auditor for Ernst & Young LLP. Umair audited a diverse portfolio of large private & publicly listed companies. Umair holds the Chartered Accountant designation in Canada and Certified Public Accountant designation in Illinois, USA. Umair received the Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University.
As the Principal Broker for KTX Insurance Brokers Ltd., Darryl May is the leader of Canada's first online brokerage. With a focus on strategic growth through online channels, and improving the digital client experience, Darryl has a true passion for leveraging technology to provide customer-centric solutions for the brokerage's customers and partners. Darryl joined KTX in 2006 and has nearly 15 years' experience in the insurance industry; progressing through a number of sales, client relation, underwriting, and management roles. Darryl also holds a CIP and is a graduate of Queen's University.
As the Vice-President of Marketplaces, Janine White leads the sales and operations for Canada's largest online marketplaces for financial services. Janine joined Kanetix in 2001 after completing an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, specializing in ecommerce. With almost two decades of experience working in the insurance and financial services world, Janine is an expert at bridging the gap of understanding between consumers and the financial products available to them. A consumer first, Janine has spent her career making financial services more accessible to Canadians through Kanetix. Janine joined the company not long after its inception, and has been with the company through its various stages of growth and success. She has been part of almost every area of Kanetix, including leading the charge on business development, spearheading the company's early digital marketing programs, ensuring the highest quality of partner management, and even serving as one of the company's first bookkeepers. Prior to joining Kanetix, Janine held several roles as at Scotiabank in Canada and spent time working in the railway industry in the UK.
As Vice-President of Marketing, Leonie Tait leads the marketing initiatives for Kanetix Ltd. Leonie joined Kanetix in 2011 to develop a results-driven marketing team. Since then, Leonie has taken a leadership role in marketing strategy, brand development and digital marketing as well as building an in-house content marketing team. Leonie has 15 years of marketing experience, most of which has been spent in the financial services and insurance industry. Prior to Kanetix, Leonie spent seven years in London, U.K. at Barclays Bank Plc, where she developed digital marketing programs that consistently delivered online revenue growth for retail and small business banking products. Before Barclays, Leonie worked with market research firm, Euromonitor International, where she developed the company's first digital marketing campaigns, growing the website as a sales channel. Leonie has a passion for performance marketing and seeks to align customer experience with revenue goals. Leonie holds a B.B.A from the Schulich School of Business and a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (U.K.).
As the Vice-President of Sales, Matt Lutzko leads the software as a service business and is responsible for delivering revenue performance and client satisfaction across the Kanetix Ltd. organization. As a leader in online insurance solutions, Matt’s team supports over 25 clients, including several of the largest P&C and commercial insurers and brokers in Canada. Matt joined Kanetix in 2001 not long after the company was founded and has experience in a variety of areas including technology, business development, operations, and data analytics. As one of the initial creators of Kanetix’s online system, he’s also had a hand in fostering the industry relationships needed to help Kanetix grow; bringing to market consumer-facing products and services; and, delivering industry leading data analytics to partners. With his breadth of experience in both insurance, technology and the online digital landscape, Matt has a unique understanding of what’s involved to successfully help clients bridge the gap between traditional insurance and the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Prior to joining Kanetix, Matt held several roles at Canada Life and was part of an online web development startup.
As the Director of Human Resources, Reygan Hale leads all human resource functions for Kanetix Ltd. She advises at all levels of the organization with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, employee relations and performance management. Reygan joined Kanetix in December of 2011. With her expertise in the human resources field, Reygan is a thoughtful leader who challenges the status quo. She is a results-oriented business partner who is able to leverage talent to drive the organization forward. Reygan’s experience spans many different industries in Canada as well as the United States. Her career has developed over the years with companies such as Workbrain Inc., Filogix Inc., Armstrong Pharmaceuticals and the PepsiCo. Reygan is a graduate of McMaster University, and holds a diploma from Humber College for Human Resources Management and Services. She has also taken a number of other development programs including Harvard University’s Challenges of Team Management .
As the Head of Kanetix Digital, Kelly Emery leads the company’s strategic consulting and digital customer acquisition division. Kelly co-founded RateSupermarket.ca in 2008, and led its growth as it became Canada’s largest rate comparison website for personal finance products before it was acquired by Kanetix Ltd. in 2013. Kelly uses the same passion for business success and digital disruption to help Canada’s top insurers and banks embrace digital transformation. She uses the latest techniques in search engine marketing, conversion rate optimization, user-centric design, marketing automation and end-to-end tracking to help partners attract more customers digitally and deliver measurable business results. Previously, her love of travel and international business experience led Kelly to the U.K. where she gained a wealth of strategic marketing knowledge working for the prestigious private bank, Coutts & Co. She also worked at Hewlett Packard in New Zealand and has a Business Degree from Wilfred Laurier University.
