Igal Mayer is an accomplished visionary executive with more than 25 years of insurance sector expertise. As CEO of Kanetix Ltd, Igal will help further position the company as a leader in digital customer acquisition for insurance and financial products. He is the founder of Shop Insurance Canada, now part of the Kanetix Ltd. family, and was the former CEO of Aviva Canada, Aviva UK and Aviva Europe. Igal is an established leader with a long track record of creating customer value and delivering transparency and ease to consumers in the insurance industry. While leading Aviva’s UK business in the mid 2000s, Igal experienced first-hand how price comparison websites evolved the insurance marketplace. During his time, Igal introduced a revolutionary pricing model which led to record growth in Aviva’s car insurance business. In 2015, Igal founded Shop Insurance Canada with the mission to become an authoritative source for insurance information and quotes, and to deliver on his passion for transparency in the industry. Igal also led several mergers and acquisitions over the past 25 years, ranging from large Insurance companies to regional brokerages. Igal is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Canadian Chartered Accountant, and an Honourary Chartered Insurance Professional. He holds an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Umair Suria leads all finance functions for Kanetix Ltd. Prior to joining Kanetix in July 2012, Umair was a Senior Financial Analyst for Direct Energy. At Direct Energy, Umair worked on several $100 million plus merger & acquisition deals and consulted to all lines of business in North America on technical accounting matters. Before joining Direct Energy, Umair was a Senior Auditor for Ernst & Young LLP. Umair audited a diverse portfolio of large private & publicly listed companies. Umair holds the Chartered Accountant designation in Canada and Certified Public Accountant designation in Illinois, USA. Umair received the Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University.
As the Vice-President of Marketplaces & Strategy Development, Janine White leads the sales and operations for Canada's largest online marketplaces for financial services. Janine joined Kanetix in 2001 after completing an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, specializing in ecommerce. With almost two decades of experience working in the insurance and financial services world, Janine is an expert at bridging the gap of understanding between consumers and the financial products available to them. A consumer first, Janine has spent her career making financial services more accessible to Canadians through Kanetix. Janine joined the company not long after its inception, and has been with the company through its various stages of growth and success. She has been part of almost every area of Kanetix, including leading the charge on business development, spearheading the company's early digital marketing programs, ensuring the highest quality of partner management, and even serving as one of the company's first bookkeepers. Prior to joining Kanetix, Janine held several roles as at Scotiabank in Canada and spent time working in the railway industry in the UK.
As the Vice-President of Sales, Matt Lutzko leads the software as a service business and is responsible for delivering revenue performance and client satisfaction across the Kanetix Ltd. organization. As a leader in online insurance solutions, Matt’s team supports over 25 clients, including several of the largest P&C and commercial insurers and brokers in Canada. Matt joined Kanetix in 2001 not long after the company was founded and has experience in a variety of areas including technology, business development, operations, and data analytics. As one of the initial creators of Kanetix’s online system, he’s also had a hand in fostering the industry relationships needed to help Kanetix grow; bringing to market consumer-facing products and services; and, delivering industry leading data analytics to partners. With his breadth of experience in both insurance, technology and the online digital landscape, Matt has a unique understanding of what’s involved to successfully help clients bridge the gap between traditional insurance and the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Prior to joining Kanetix, Matt held several roles at Canada Life and was part of an online web development startup.
As the Vice President of Money, Sara Kesheh leads the strategy, product development, and operations for all money products including mortgages, credit cards, and banking for Kanetix Ltd. Sara has over 10 years of financial services experience, most of which have been spent in the insurance and credit card industry. Prior to joining Kanetix in June 2019, Sara was head of the insurance business for President’s Choice Financial (PCF) bank, where she was able to counteract downward market pressure with growth led by innovative product development. Sara has experience in digital marketing, credit card acquisition, business insights, and sales. As the head of marketing for the CIBC Aventura Portfolio, Sara delivered an industry first campaign which helped strengthen the portfolio and allowed the company to diversify. Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto and has completed the Scala Series Leadership program.
As Vice-President of Marketing, Leonie Tait leads the marketing initiatives for Kanetix Ltd. Leonie joined Kanetix in 2011 to develop a results-driven marketing team. Since then, Leonie has taken a leadership role in marketing strategy, brand development and digital marketing as well as building an in-house content marketing team. Leonie has 15 years of marketing experience, most of which has been spent in the financial services and insurance industry. Prior to Kanetix, Leonie spent seven years in London, U.K. at Barclays Bank Plc, where she developed digital marketing programs that consistently delivered online revenue growth for retail and small business banking products. Before Barclays, Leonie worked with market research firm, Euromonitor International, where she developed the company's first digital marketing campaigns, growing the website as a sales channel. Leonie has a passion for performance marketing and seeks to align customer experience with revenue goals. Leonie holds a B.B.A from the Schulich School of Business and a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (U.K.).
As Vice - President and Principal Broker, Darryl May leads both the P&C and Financial brokerage divisions of Kanetix Ltd. With a focus on strategic growth through online channels and creating a true end-to-end digital experience, Darryl’s passion is leveraging technology to eliminate friction points in the customer journey and constantly improve engagement and value throughout the client life cycle. Darryl takes pride, through KTX, on nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships with over 20 of Canada’s largest insurers through profitable portfolio growth and access to digital customer insights and acquisition. Darryl joined KTX in 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, progressing through a number of sales, underwriting and senior management roles. Prior to KTX, Darryl worked at TD Insurance as an analyst. Darryl holds a CIP, is a graduate of Queen's University, and is currently a MBA candidate.
As the Vice-President of People Operations, Reygan Hale leads all human resource functions for Kanetix Ltd. She advises at all levels of the organization with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, employee relations and performance management. Reygan joined Kanetix in December of 2011. With her expertise in the human resources field, Reygan is a thoughtful leader who challenges the status quo. She is a results-oriented business partner who is able to leverage talent to drive the organization forward. Reygan’s experience spans many different industries in Canada as well as the United States. Her career has developed over the years with companies such as Workbrain Inc., Filogix Inc., Armstrong Pharmaceuticals and the PepsiCo. Reygan is a graduate of McMaster University, and holds a diploma from Humber College for Human Resources Management and Services. She has also taken a number of other development programs including Harvard University’s Challenges of Team Management .
